Mamatha Chamarthi, who served as chief software business growth officer at Stellantis, has resigned from the automaker effective immediately, a company spokesperson confirmed in an email to Automotive Dive on Monday.
Chamarthi served as the global head of the automaker’s software business since February 2021. She previously served chief digital officer of automotive supplier ZF Group from 2016 to 2019 and as chief digital information officer for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, now part of Stellantis, from 2019 to 2021.
A Stellantis spokesperson said that Chamarthi left the company to “pursue other opportunities.”
The automaker named Cristiani Campos as her replacement. Campos will be based out of Detroit and report directly to Stellantis’ chief software officer, Yves Bonnefont.
“We are delighted to announce the promotion of Cristiani Campos to lead our SW business and bring it to the next level as part of Stellantis DF2030 strategic plan,” a spokesperson said in an email to Automotive Dive. “Cristiani has an outstanding track record in business development in Latin America and Taiwan combined with a solid financial background.”
Campos most recently served as CFO of SiliconAuto, according to her LinkedIn profile. The joint venture was formed by Stellantis and contract manufacturer Foxconn to design and produce chips for next-generation, software-based vehicle platforms the automaker plans to use in the future. Prior to that role, she served as head of business development for Stellantis South America.
The executive shakeups at Stellantis began in January when the company announced that Carlos Zarlenga was replacing Mark Stewart as its chief operating officer for North America, effective Feb. 1. The automaker did not provide a reason for Stewart’s exit.
In February, Stellantis updated its corporate sales structure in North America to increase its focus on both B2B and B2C sales, which included new executive appointments effective March 1.
In May, Stellantis also announced new leaders for its Dodge and Ram brands along with other new appointments to its global leadership team. Among the changes, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell was appointed to serve in a dual role as CEO of Ram following the retirement of Timothy Kuniskis.
Stellantis also named Luca Napolitano as chief sales and marketing officer effective June 1; Olivier Bourges as chief customer experience officer; and Clara Ingen-Housz as head of global corporate office and public affairs.
